"Logansteno: Bought a VW?" (logansteno)

It's freezing cold and I'm just not about it. My ass is gonna be shivering on the drive to school tomorrow. Maybe if my heater did it's job well... My dad mentioned putting cardboard in front of my radiator so it heats up faster. I'm game if it works.
Anyway, have the two exceptions to my "I'll never drive a van again" rule.
Sedona gets a pass because damn son that interior quality and exterior design. Transit Connect Wagon because it's Focus based and apparently pretty damn fun to drive.

What about the fullsize Transit sleeper wagon? It may be ugly, but the 3.5 Ecoboost likes being tuned.

I have to put cardboard in front of my radiator just to get it to operating temperature. #massiveradiatorproblems
If I ever replace my heater control valve, I might actually be warm.

I think if I was going fullsize sleeper I'd just get a 6.0 Vortec and tune it. I'd have to imagine the LS-based 6.0 has more aftermarket tuning than the EcoBoost.

With just a tune, the 6.0 wouldn't touch it. That's not LS-bashing, that's just the advantage of forced induction. Yeah with a bit of money, you could get 500whp. But with a couple of bolt ons and a tune, the Ecoboost will destroy fuel and make 500whp.

I thought the cardboard thing was just for diesels to get the glow plugs to warm quicker.

The new Sedona is the only minivan I would drive. Some family in my neighborhood just bought a black one and it really is a great looking van. No shame in admitting that.
